On Thursday night, the West Side Spirit, a weekly paper that covers the Upper West Side of Manhattan, honored Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum at its annual WESTY Awards. She was presented with the most prestigious 'West Sider of the Year' award, recognizing her career in public service and contributions to the community.
