Happy 30th, West Side Campaign Against Hunger

On Sunday, the West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) celebrated its 30^th Anniversary at an Annual Volunteer Recognition Day. A representative from Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum’s office (Michael Morrison, pictured below, with Doreen Wohl, WSCAH Executive Director) presented certificates of appreciation to WSCAH volunteers.

The volunteers, who are also customers of the food pantry, help run the kitchen and learn how to prepare nutritious, inexpensive meals. Below, two volunteers – Catalina Reyes and Manuel Ramos – help prepare fruit.
