Given the recent concern
about the H1N1 Virus, commonly known as “swine flu”, it's a good time for New York
residents to review how to prevent the spread of any contagious
illness. The Center for Disease Control recommends that you:
- Wash your hands thoroughly and
often. Alcohol-based hand cleansers also are effective.
- Cover your mouth when
you cough or sneeze, but use a tissue or your arm rather
than your hand. Avoid touching your mouth,
nose and eyes.
- If you're sick, stay home.
