Today, April 15th, is Tax
Day, the final day to mail your tax returns to the state and federal
governments.
It's never a fun experience
to file your taxes-and it's even worse in the midst of an economic crisis. But
don't forget: You may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

eligible for a refundable federal, state and city income tax credit known as
the Earned Income Tax Credit. The credit is for low-to-moderate income working

Additionally,
both the Internal Revenue Service, and the New York State
Department of Taxation and Finance, allow you to check
your refund status online, and the IRS gives information about the EITC and
some deductions/tax relief for disasters. Make sure you receive the largest
